Tung Oil

Tung oil is an excellent drying vegetable oil with fast drying, light specific gravity, good gloss, strong adhesion, heat-resistant, acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, anticorrosive, anti-rust, non-conductive and other characteristics, a wide range of uses.

Tung oil is divided into raw tung oil and cooked tung oil two kinds of tung oil, raw tung oil used in medicine and chemical
industry; cooked tung oil processed from raw tung oil, instead of varnish and paint and other coatings, directly used for machine
maintenance, indoor wood flooring, wooden ceilings, sauna panels, wooden balcony handrails and so on; outdoor wood flooring,
trellises, wooden houses, pavilions, fences, wooden bridges, boats, chairs, wooden agricultural tools and so on.
Judging from the intuition, cooked tung oil is more viscous than raw tung oil, and the color is dark brown. There are two kinds of ripe tung oil, one is pure ripe tung oil and the other is mixed ripe tung oil. Pure ripe tung oil extraction method is tung seed frying oil, not artificial to add any chemical composition, suitable for environmental protection and pollution-free decoration, especially for indoor. Mixed cooked tung oil belongs to a kind of lacquer, according to the method of 2:2:6 blending, 20% of the varnish + 20% of the rosin + 60% of the tung oil, heated and boiled to a temperature of 260 degrees. After boiling in this way, the tung oil needs to be filtered before it can be used in wood. The mixture of cooked tung oil has a strong flavor and a strong smell of lacquer. This method of pressing tung oil is traditional and old. This method is gradually being phased out. This kind of mixed oil is easy to identify, can be drawn, viscosity, and darker color, after the construction of the general 3-6 months after the stimulation of the chemical smell can be dispersed.

Operation: On the cooked tung oil can be filtered with gauze before, so that the filtered tung oil out of the effect is better. Tung oil of course also applies to other wood, especially outdoor wood, rubbed on the tung oil is not easy to rot, the surface to form a protective film, impermeable, and thus produce waterproof, anticorrosive effect.
