Glycerol

Dioctyl phthalate (DOP), an organic ester compound, is a commonly used plasticizer.
Dioctyl phthalate is a general-purpose plasticizer, mainly used in the processing of polyvinyl chloride resin, but also used in the processing of polymers such as chemical resins, acetate resins, ABS resins, and rubbers, and also used in the manufacture of paints, dyes, and dispersing agents, etc. DOP-plasticized PVC can be used in the manufacture of artificial leather, agricultural films, packaging materials, cables, and so on.

1. Used to make nitroglycerin, alkyd resin and epoxy resin.
