Chlorinated paraffin: white or yellow powder, odourless, good chemical stability, insoluble in low-grade alcohols, soluble in mineral oils, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated alkanes, ether,  esters; good compatibility with many synthetic and natural materials, and begin to trace degradation reactions at temperatures above 170 degrees Celsius. As an additive flame retardant, it has good flame retardant durability, moisture-proof, anti-static, anti-softening, anti-compression and low volatility. It can be widely used in polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polystyrene and other resins and all kinds of rubber products, also used in the manufacture of blended fireproof paint, fireproof paint, can also be used in wood anticorrosion, anti-moth, and sizing of the paper industry.
